Synthetic rubber is among the elastomers produced by humans and is made from polymers derived from petroleum. While it has elastic properties similar to natural rubber, synthetic rubber offers a broader range of applications in various industrial uses. It is especially preferred in the automotive sector for products such as tires, door and window seals, O-rings, gaskets, hoses, belts, mats, and flooring.

Natural rubber is a renewable resource and is a versatile material in terms of flexibility and durability. However, it may not perform adequately in some challenging applications. For instance, natural rubber loses its structural integrity at temperatures above 180°C and cannot be used in extremely hot environments. Additionally, it is not preferred in applications that require high flexibility or impact resistance due to its brittleness. Therefore, various types of synthetic rubber with different properties have been developed for industrial applications requiring high performance.

Application Areas:

Automotive: Tires, gaskets, hoses, door and window seals.

Construction: Roof coverings, flooring, waterproofing materials.

Electrical & Electronics: Cable insulation, device gaskets.

Medical: Medical hoses, gloves, prosthetics.

Aerospace: Fuel hoses, sealing elements.

Consumer Products: Shoe soles, sports equipment.
